The Lord's Own Prayer - CW

Growing in Unity

Join us for a new three part series called, The Lord's Own Prayer with Pastor Dan Cochrane as we delve into John 17. The prayer Jesus speaks in this passage moves in three parts: first, focusing on His finished work and glorifying the Father; second, praying for His Disciples' protection as they spread God's word; and third, praying for unity within all believers, for them to continue sharing God's love. This is a sacred moment we get to witness with God the Son speaking to God the Father about US; about CrossRoads Church and all the churches in Central Alberta.

This Sunday, Pastor Dan Cochrane will speak about ‘Growing in Unity’ based on John 17:20-26.

Everyone is welcome to worship in person this Sunday at 9am, 11am, or 6pm, or join the livestream at one of the morning services. Join us online by visiting the livestream page, or find more info at crossroadschurch.ca/sunday.

*Please note: There will be NO kids programming during the 6pm service until further notice.

Passionate About Safety?

Do you have experience in safety, security, or a related field? We are forming a new Safety and Security Committee and we’d love for you to prayerfully consider being part of it. At its core, this ministry is about creating a space where people can worship and connect without fear because they know someone is looking out for them. If you are interested, join Pastor Dwayne Holland for an introductory meeting where he’ll share the heart behind this committee and the vital role it will play in helping our church family feel safe, supported, and seen. If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to serve, one that uses both your experience and your care for others, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Worship in the Sun

We are so excited for this year's Outdoor Service! This gathering is more than just a service, it's an opportunity to for us to come together in worship, celebrate baptisms, and enjoy fellowship under the open sky. Make sure you plan to stick around after the service for a free hotdog lunch! Let's enjoy the summer weather while building community and enjoying each other's company. We'd also like to encourage you to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, and a water bottle to stay comfortable in the weather. If you have some fun backyard games - bring those too and let's get more connected with our church family!  The Outdoor Service will start at 11:00am but we recommend to come early to minimize traffic and ensure you get a good spot to sit on the field. We look forward to coming together to celebrate what the Lord is doing in our community.

Please note:

  • There will be NO 9am or 6pm services on this day.
  • Children are welcome in the service (regular children's programming not offered on this day).
  • The service will not be livestreamed.
  • In the event of poor weather conditions, the service will move indoors.

Caf la Mosaque Pascale CW

Missionary Highlight

Café la Mosaïque is a non-profit, faith-based Café that offers a place to find community. The Café offers food prepared with organic, fair-trade and local products and organizes activities to encourage healthy relationships, critical thinking, and mutual help. Pascale Bourdages is the Mission Coordinator, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Café, including the supervision of over 30 volunteers. She leads the team as they exemplify Christ in the community through serving others, being present, and living out the Kingdom by extending grace, justice, peace, love and hope.

Prayer Points:

  • Pray for Pascale as she continues to lead with both vision and vulnerability. Ask God to guide her decisions, renew her energy, and surround her with encouragement. May she feel the support of your prayers as she brings light into her neighbourhood.
  • Pray for the Café la Mosaïque, that it would continue to be an inclusive, welcoming place, that gives hope for all who walk through its doors. May the Café reflect God’s love in every interaction and serve as a beacon of compassion in their community.
  • Lift up the staff and volunteers who serve faithfully at the Café. Pray for strength, wisdom, and unity as they carry out their work with limited resources but an abundant heart. May God bless their efforts and sustain their joy in serving others.

Groups

Host a Group

You and I were created for community! Small groups are one way for us to build friendships with others, to explore faith, and to encourage one another. We have four different categories that we organize our groups into, including; Growth Groups, Common Interest Groups, Sermon Groups, and Life Groups. Are you interested in facilitating a group this coming Fall? We would love to connect with you!

Sermon Groups Highlight: Sermon Groups are based around the current sermon series at CrossRoads Church. Joining others to study and discuss what is being taught is a good opportunity to take what we’ve learnt and find practical ways to apply these lessons alongside others.

Fill out the form and let's start a conversation!

Pantry Restock Donations CW

Pantry Restock

Let’s work together to feed our community! We’re running low on some important staples for our food hampers, and we could use your help.

This month, we’re especially in need of:

  • canned fruit
  • beans
  • meats like tuna or chicken.

These simple items go a long way in feeding individuals and families right here in Central Alberta. Every item you give is more than food; it’s love in action. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community!

If you would like to donate, visit the Café and drop off your items in the large grey donation bin.

Prayer

How Can We Pray For You?

Following each service, prayer team members are ready to pray with you. If you join us in person, prayer is available in the Sanctuary. If you're watching online, let us know your prayer request by sharing it here. Someone will then follow-up with you to pray together.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6
