Light in the Shadows - CW

New Series: Living Faithfully

This month, Pastor Jordan Cavanaugh begins a new series, Light in The Shadows, focusing on Elijah and Elisha—two men who followed God during a dark time in Biblical history. Though Elijah was a man “just like us,” God called him to be a light and speak truth to a wandering nation. Their stories remind us that God uses ordinary people for extraordinary purposes—and He can do the same through us today.

This Sunday, Pastor Jordan explores 1 Kings 17:9-24, where we first meet Elijah, a chosen man of God. In the middle of a drought, God sent Elijah to be taken care of by a desperate widow in Zarephath. With only a handful of flour and a few drops of oil, the widow faithfully made bread for Elijah and her family and they watched as God never let the supply run empty. But later when her son died suddenly, Elijah pleaded with God to raise him from the dead. In a stunning display of divine power, the boy was brought back to life leaving no doubt of God's power and ability to work through His chosen people, like Elijah.

Everyone is welcome to worship in person this Sunday at 9am, 11am, or 6pm, or join the livestream at one of the morning services. Join us online by visiting the livestream page, or find more info at crossroadschurch.ca/sunday.

Pray for Children Dedicated CW

Support Young Families

It takes a village to raise a child, so we welcome friends, family, CrossRoads churchgoers, and non-churchgoers to gather in support of our young families during this special service. During this service we dedicate our children to God and allow Him to protect, provide, and help kids flourish into who they are meant to grow into. It is a declaration for each family to commit to raising children in Christ's name, and for us as a church family to support them. Please keep these families in your prayers as they get their children dedicated this week.

Following each service, prayer team members are ready to pray with you. If you join us in person, prayer is available in the Sanctuary. If you're watching online, let us know your prayer request by sharing it here. Someone will then follow-up with you to pray together.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6
