CrossRoads Compassion

What is Compassion?

Each year on Christmas Eve, CrossRoads Church receives a special offering to support the work being done through our partners in Haiti, Uganda, Rwanda, and right here in our own city and region. In the same way God gave His Son to us, we give our gifts to others. We call it Compassion.

This year's theme is "Blessed to be a Blessing". Through Scripture, we recognize that every blessing God gives us is meant to flow through us. When we share what God has given us—our resources, our prayers, our time—we become part of something much bigger than ourselves. Together, we are living out God’s call in Genesis 12:2-3 that began with Abraham: “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing ... and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (NIV)

We would love for you to participate; you can join us in prayer, volunteer, go on a short term outreach, or you can give a financial gift that will cause ripple effects across generations.

Compassion Booklet, 2025 Edition

The Missions staff at CrossRoads have compiled updates from our Local and Global Partners, with amazing testimonies from people around the world who are living out what it means to be "Blessed to be a Blessing".

This edition is focused on our four partner areas; global partnerships in Uganda, Haiti, and Rwanda, and our local partnerships which include Hope Mission, Outreach Centre, and Central Alberta Youth Unlimited. 2024 Compassion Prayer Videos
