Prayer Reflection – April 26, 2024

Psalm 73:23-26 (NIV)

23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
    and my portion forever.

John 14:25-27 (NIV)

25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

As you read through Psalm 73 and John 14, what does Jesus cause to stand out to you today?

As I read these passages, I think about how, in Christ, we lack nothing (see also Psalm 23).

He is our strength and our portion forever.

He has given us His Holy Spirit.

He provides for us abundantly.  Perfectly.

As you pause with Jesus today, what prayers of thanks come to mind?

Who does Jesus bring to mind that you can bring to Him in prayer today?

Here is a song by Shane & Shane that I wanted to share with you today:

The Lord bless you!

Colossians 3:15-17
