Prayer Reflection – July 7, 2023

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Psalm 63:2-5 (NIV)

I have seen you in the sanctuary
and beheld your power and your glory.
Because your love is better than life,
    my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

In these verses from Psalm 63, we read about an overflowing response of praise to God.

As we pause today with Jesus and His word, I invite you to reflect on ways that the Lord has shown you who He is.

Perhaps it was in a worship gathering and the sense of His presence was so clear?

As you think back over the past year, are there stories that come to mind of ways that God has shown you His faithfulness?

Perhaps He has caused something to stand out to you recently from Scripture?

In response to the Lord today, what could it look like for us to glorify Him, lift up our hands, and with singing lips, praise Him?

As you sit with Jesus and reflect on Psalm 63, I invite you to talk with Him and see how He leads you in prayer and steps of obedience to Him today.

May our lives bring glory to Jesus today as we hear His voice and go His way!

Here is a song of praise to the Lord and I invite you to reflect on the words and sing it to Him today:

The Lord bless you!
