Today, Wednesday November 26, our team spent most of the day in Nyamasheke. We were able to meet with a group of CNC (Church Network Community) which is a group of local pastors and leaders from various church denominations that have worked together over the years in partnership with World Relief to bring about lasting change and transformation in their communities. It was inspiring to see how they have continued to meet regularly and are promoting valuable programs within their communities. They are seeing Savings For Life groups flourish, family strengthening programs have impact and a variety of powerful initiatives to impact the younger generations. There is so much hope and encouragement as this CNC is reaching out on their own and implementing the training they have received from World Relief into new sectors. Praise the Lord!

Also, we were so blessed to meet with a Savings For Life group that had started in 2020 with five orphaned girls. World Relief brought in tailoring and sewing training and were able to gift these girls sewing machines at the end of their training. Now this savings group has 20 ladies involved in saving, training others and building economic success and stability by selling their products in their own shop. They have asked for prayer that they can save to purchase more sewing machines and eventually afford a larger shop. Many of the women have been able to access loans from the savings group in order to buy livestock to help raise an income and achieve success. Others can pay for their children's school while another lady was able to purchase land and a house for her family. Their group is named Unity and it is so fitting for the unity that we have seen and experienced in Nyamasheke today. Please pray for both the CNC in Nyamasheke and the Unity Savings For Life Groups. Tomorrow we are in the new partner district of Nyamagabe.
