Prayer Reflection – March 15, 2024

1 Corinthians 15:55-58 (NIV)

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Thank You God for the victory that you give us through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Let’s pray about that and ponder that a bit.  As you think about your life, whether more recently or perhaps going back a while, what has Jesus brought you through that has become a story of His victory?

Because of the victory that God gives us through Jesus, we can stand firm and let nothing move us.  Because of Jesus, we can give ourselves fully to the work that God has prepared in advance for us to do (see also Ephesians 2:10).  We can be confident, fully assured, that our work in the Lord is not in vain.

How amazing is that?  Thank You Jesus!  I deeply appreciate this exhortation (see also Revelation 12:10-12).

I encourage you to read all of 1 Corinthians 15 and see what Jesus causes to stand out to you today.

Let’s pray for Christ’s victory in the lives of people that He brings to mind today.

As you pause with Jesus in prayer today, I wanted to share this song with you.

The Lord bless you!
