Prayer Reflection – March 4, 2023

2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Revelation 5:9-10 (NIV)

And they sang a new song, saying:

“You are worthy to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign on the earth.”

Jesus, You are worthy!

This is the declaration on my heart as I write this today.

I invite you to find a quiet place somewhere and prayerfully read through chapters 4 and 5 in the book of Revelation.

What stands out to you?  Do you notice the word worthy and how it is applied?

The Lord is worthy to receive glory and honor and power! (see Revelation 4:11)

The Lamb, Jesus Christ, is worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals (Revelation 4:9).  By God’s design, only Jesus is able to accomplish what He did through His cross and resurrection (see John 3:16-17; John 17; Philippians 2:5-11).  He alone is worthy!

In Revelation 5:12, “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

As we pause today with Jesus and He leads us in prayer, I want to share these songs with you.  In relation to the Scripture today (Revelation 5:9-10), songs from The Send Brasil include both Portuguese and English.

The Lord bless you today!
