CrossRoads Connect Weekly
Welcome Dave Betts!
This Sunday, we welcome guest speaker, Dave Betts! Dave currently serves as the lead elder at Centre Church (formerly Trinity Church) in Red Deer and is also a part-time academic advisor at Okanagan Bible College. He and his wife, Sharaya, are the proud parents of three wonderful children. Originally from the UK, Dave stays true to his British roots; fueled by an endless stream of tea. He is also the author of The Church and AI: Seven Guidelines for Ministry on the Digital Frontiers, a resource designed to help churches navigate the evolving digital landscape. We can't wait to hear what Dave has to share with us this Sunday!
Everyone is welcome to worship in person this Sunday at 9am, 11am, or 6pm, or join the livestream at one of the morning services. Join us online by visiting the livestream page, or find more info at crossroadschurch.ca/sunday.

Pantry Restock
Thank you to everyone for your canned food donations in June - our pantry shelves are looking much better!
This July, we’re especially in need of:
- Dry pasta
- Cereal
These food hampers are given to those in need of basic food staples, most often given to single parent families, through school counsellors or ministry leaders. Every donation that goes into a food hamper is a response to caring for those in our community and being the hands and feet of Jesus.
If you would like to donate, visit the Café and drop off your items in the large grey donation bin.
Partners International: Pakistan
Ever wonder how we engage with the blue banner in the sanctuary? That is our Outreach Mission banner, declaring our intention to support national pastors and leaders; love Muslims near and far, and pray for the persecuted church. Partners International is an organization we support that works to bring the gospel into the most challenging places of our world, taking great risks to share Jesus with those who have never heard. Through them, we fund a project in the remote regions of Pakistan which train national leaders and pastors in evangelism and church planting. With a simple yet successful methodology, evangelism is followed up with relationship, baptism, and the formation of small discipleship groups leading to underground churches. In the last year, 6,450 individuals had the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel; 162 were baptized, 43 new small groups were made, and 27 new underground churches were formed. God is doing some incredible things through His people in Pakistan! Let’s continue to pray for the nations and seek to intentionally support the work God is doing through them.
Please Pray:
- For boldness to speak God's truth without fear; to proclaim His name with courage and confidence.
- For hearts to respond positively to the gospel and invitation of Christ.
- For small groups and new churches to continue encouraging each other in Christ.
- For safe travels and God's miraculous protection in unsafe areas.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
Come take part in a morning of prayer, encouragement, and connection over a hearty breakfast and a warm cup of coffee. Together as men of faith, we’ll lift up our church, our city, our world, and our families in prayer. This is more than just a meal. It’s a reminder of the power of prayer to transform hearts and circumstances. It’s a chance to stand shoulder to shoulder as brothers in Christ, knowing we weren’t meant to walk alone. When we gather in community and seek God together, He meets us faithfully, powerfully, and with purpose.
Saturday August 23, at 8am in the Gym
Early bird price until August 4: $12
Regular price: $15

Employment Opportunities
Food Services Administrative Assistant: 15hrs/week
We’re looking for someone with strong administrative skills and a servant-hearted attitude to join our Food Services team. As the Food Services Administrative Assistant, you’ll support the vital ministry that happens through our kitchen and café. From coordinating volunteers and maintaining schedules, to managing documents and lending a hand in the kitchen, this role keeps our food services running smoothly so we can continue to bless and care for people well.
Hospitality Coordinator: 20hrs/week
Do you love creating spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and at home? We’re looking for a people-focused leader to help ensure every Sunday at CrossRoads Church is a warm and meaningful experience for everyone. As the Hospitality Coordinator, you’ll help shape the atmosphere of our Sunday gatherings by leading and equipping teams of volunteers across areas like greeting, ushering, café, and the first response team. You’ll play a key role in cultivating a culture of hospitality that reflects the love of Jesus - from the parking lot to the pew.
Join Our Hospitality Team!
Are you someone who loves seeing people smile, feel welcome and get connected? The Hospitality Team is the perfect way to share your gift of connection. Whether you want to greet people as they walk through the front door, strike up conversation in the foyer, or ensure that people can connect over a cup of coffee, we've got a spot for anyone to help us create a welcoming environment. We're seeking individuals, couples, and families who want to join a team of community builders. With opportunities starting at a one hour commitment per month, serving with the Hospitality Team is a great way to build community and help others do the same.
If you have questions getting involved with serving, please email kielu@crossroadschurch.ca.
Loving Our Kids Min Serves
If you love to bake, serve, or simply have a soft spot for Kids Ministry, this is the opportunity for you! How Can We Pray For You?
Following each service, prayer team members are ready to pray with you. If you join us in person, prayer is available in the Sanctuary. If you're watching online, let us know your prayer request by sharing it here. Someone will then follow-up with you to pray together.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6
