We keep busy with the pre-k children and their families of CrossRoads Kids! We have a committed volunteer culture made up of seniors, grandparents, parents, young adults, and juniors! We have a total of 145! I appreciate their passion and care for the “littles” of CrossRoads! We have several teams: Baking, Cleaning, Curriculum Prep, Room Organizers, Prayer, Welcome, and Sunday Morning CrossRoads Kids. A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing volunteers; we could not do what we do without YOU!
We have several engaging events throughout the year: Daddy Daughter, Teddy Bear Adventure, Sock Wars, Meet and Greet/Pickles and Ice Cream! All of our events were well attended, and it is our prayer that strong bonds were made between parents and their children.
Faith at Home happens twice a year and is an integral part of our engagement for our families! Once a year, parents have a chance to go to church with their child! During this event, parents learn about their child’s Sunday experience and also are challenged to carry what they learn home with them. Parents are reminded of their responsibility in the formation of the faith of their child. Blessing and Prayer are the Pre-K themes; they get to make an awesome craft to take home to help them with their role of bringing “Faith at Home.”
Our “littles” had the opportunity to help lead in worship in the big house during the Christmas season and on Palm Sunday. What a blessing to see “littles” worship! Worship is a special part of our Sunday mornings… Thank you, Mr. Bruce!
It’s amazing how many people come to CrossRoads when they find out they are having a baby. We have several young families who want to dedicate their children to the Lord! We dedicated a total of 35 children this year. Please pray for our young families and their children.
Looking ahead, we are excited to see more families and children coming to CrossRoads. Because of this, we will also be adding to our volunteers!
