A Call for a Day of Prayer and Fasting

Wednesday, March 15. Let us come together, as the Body of Christ, for a day of prayer and fasting for the people of Syria. The war in Syria has lasted for six years. The nation is now divided into two groups, those who have remained and those who have fled; all are struggling to have their basic needs met each day.

  1. that Syrians in both of these groups would come to know Jesus as their sustainer and provider,
  2. for the gospel message to not only reach the Syrian refugees but multiply out across the Middle East and around the world
  3. that the local church in all affected countries would be burdened with a desire to see all of those affected by this conflict have an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.

The GriefShare group meets weekly to help those who have lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend. We meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm in Room 108, year round. You are welcome to begin attending GriefShare at any session, as each one is self-contained and doesn’t need to occur in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.

Our Prayer for March

Dear Lord,
This month, we lift up our educators and our students to You. We pray for teachers and administration and thank You that they have dedicated their vocation to educating our next generation of leaders. We ask that You give them wisdom, encouragement, strength and hope. Help them to know how to deal righteously with current issues, and we ask that they turn to You for guidance.

We also lift up our students to You. We pray that they would have a great desire to learn and to grow. Give them respect for their teachers and help them to show kindness to one another.
We pray for safety in our schools, that they would be places of learning and growth and that You would keep them from harm.

Ultimately, Lord, as we pray for educators and students, we ask that they would come to a saving knowledge of You and that Your truth would be revealed for the glory of Your name.

In Jesus name, Amen.
