For the next seven weeks, Pastor Dan is walking us through the beloved passage of Psalm 23. In this new series, "Unfazed", we will learn how to trust in The Shepherd, and how we can enjoy a life without fear. The first message in the series, starting Sunday, is titled "A Life of Provision", based on the first verse of Psalm 23.
We are getting ready for our first family meeting of 2021! This Congregational Meeting will be on Wednesday, January 27 at 7pm.
As you can imagine, things will look slightly different this year due to the restrictions resulting from COVID-19. We have decided to host this meeting in-house (staying compliant with AHS with a max capacity of 164) as well as make the meeting accessible via Zoom Webinar.
*If you are currently a member, there will be an opportunity to vote on various items in-person at the meeting, by proxy vote, or on-line as you watch via Zoom Webinar.
We are excited to announce that starting January 17th, our 6pm service is back!
For this to happen WE NEED YOU! An extra service means we need extra team members; we are looking for those willing to serve in:
- Early Childhood (Pre-K)
- Grade 4-6
- Hospitality - check-in, ushering, and welcoming
- Sunday Techs: including Propresenter, switchers, sound and monitor
For Kid's Ministry, we ask you to commit to 2 Sundays a month where you have the opportunity to lead kids in Scripture Memory, activities, Bible learning, prayer, and gospel-focused relationships.
If you are interested in serving, please visit CrossRoadsChurch.ca/serve as soon as possible! We would love to run a full and confident team by January 17th. Please consider serving with us as we serve the families of Red Deer and Central Alberta.
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each session looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. There's no pressure, no follow-up and no charge; it's just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life's big questions together.
We invite you to explore this with us! Alpha will be meeting online via Zoom. Once you are registered, you will get instructions on how to log in to participate. The first session is on Tuesday, January 19 and will be an introduction to Alpha. This is great to check out the first night and see what you think.
Online Alpha will run for 11 weeks on Tuesday evenings from January 19 – March 30.
Visit CrossRoadsChurch.ca/Alpha for more information.

The Mustard Seed is in great need of books! Many of their clients regularly access the bookshelves, and they are now nearly empty. If you have some you are no longer reading, this is a great option for them to be reused and enjoyed by others.
Please drop your books off directly to the Mustard Seed at: 6002 54 Ave, Red Deer
You can drop-off between 9:00am-4:00pm on Monday - Friday. Thank you!Categories: Outreach
We have been asked by The Mustard Seed, who we often partner with, if we could supply some thoughtful hand-made cards for them to use for birthdays, encouragement, get well cards…. prayer cards. We know we have some very talented card-makers, encouragers, and prayer warriors out there. So would you join us in making a difference in the lives of those who are vulnerable?
Cards can be dropped off at the main office, marked 'Missions'. Thank you!
We are excited to be expanding our team, as we are seeking a Sunday Team Coordinator! If you're interested or know someone who would be perfect for this role, visit CrossRoadsChurch.ca/employment for more information.Categories: Employment Opportunities
If you plan on joining us in-person on Sundays, we encourage you to bring your own Bible - whether it be on your phone or the hardcopy. You will no longer find Bibles, pens, or notepads in the pew in front of you. However, if you do not own a Bible, don’t worry! We would love to send one home with you. Visit The Hub before or after service.
Following each service online, we are here to pray with you. We invite you to let us know your prayer request by clicking here. Someone will then follow-up with you to pray together.
Each of us has hurts. To learn how to navigate the hurts, hang-ups, and habits, join us Friday evenings at 7pm. For more information visit CrossRoadsChurch.ca/CelebrateRecovery.Categories: Hope
