Two Are Better Than One

We started the day with over a week of hard work behind us and it was evident by the energy level around the breakfast table. After a devotion in Ephesians and a round of espresso's, we picked up with our various tasks for the day.

At lunch we were treated with another Raney special and we were gifted with another devotion on Jeremiah by a pastor from Raney’s church.

As I stopped for a water break and watched everyone working, I thought of Ecclesiates 4:9-10:

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.

The work that Raney and Gary have started here in San Fermo has had an amazing return. It has been an extraordinary blessing for a group of eleven people from across the world to get an opportunity to come alongside them and be a small part of God’s mission in Italy!

It sunk in later in the afternoon that with only one day of work left, we won't get to see any of the tasks that we started to completion. But we know that we won't be leaving Raney and Gary alone in their mission and that God will bring others to carry on the work that has been started. The building itself may have a completion date, but God's plans will continue long after that date.
