The Gospel of Mark

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
A SIMPLE DAILY PRAYER PRACTICE
Every day, three names, one minute — that’s all this takes. Here’s how it works.
1) Choose 3 people to pray for
Pick three people you want to see flourish. A few ways to choose:
• Someone who doesn’t yet know Jesus
• Someone walking through a hard season right now
• A family member, neighbor, or coworker God keeps bringing to mind
• Someone you feel prompted to build a relationship with
Write their names on the back of your 10:10 card, and keep it somewhere you’ll see it often — your wallet, your dashboard, or on your fridge.
2) Set an alarm for 10:10 am and 10:10 pm
Set two daily alarms — one for 10:10 am and one for 10:10 pm. Label them “Pray” or “10:10” so you remember why they’re going off.
3) When the alarm goes off, pause and pray
Wherever you are, take a few minutes. Say each name and pray something like this over them:
• Pray that their life would flourish emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually.
• Pray that they would have a real encounter with Jesus.
• Pray over whatever specific need or circumstance you know they’re facing.
• Pray for an open door — a chance this week to show or share God’s love with them.
• Pray a blessing over them, that they would know the “life to the full” Jesus offers in
John 10:10.
4) Keep it going
Do this daily, with the same three people. Watch for the moments God opens up with each of them, and be ready to step into them.
For example, you could pray this prayer drawn from John 10:10:
“Thank You Lord Jesus for saving me. Thank You for Your love. Thank You that You are here in Central Alberta showing people who You are and inviting them to know You.
Thank You for (name of one person you are praying for). Thank You that we get to share life together. Please open their eyes to see that You offer them life to the full. Abundant life. Please help them to say yes to You and follow You as their personal Lord and Saviour.
Please show me my part, how I can join with You in this awesome work that You are doing in their life. Thank You Jesus! I love You! Amen!”
